First generation farmers…
What started with chicks in 2018 has grown to a herd of Normande cows, chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits and pigs.
Ashley grew up around family members farm animals, throwing hay and learning to drive on her grandfathers Farmall tractor. She graduated from Vocational/Agricultural High School where she was enrolled in Agricultural/Animal science and FFA member for her freshman year before switching and graduating from a nursing program.
Her love for animals, granny hobbies and holistic ways has shined trough in her mothering years.
Who we are…
We’re the Norris family — Ashley and Jake, along with Emma, Logan, Lincoln, and Liam.
Tucked up a long driveway in a quiet hemlock hollow, our days are full of chaos and even more love. With four children; including a feral set of twins and more animals than we can count, we’ve built a life rooted in hard work, laughter, and deep respect for the land.
At Hemlock Hollow Homestead, we are committed to nourishing both our family and our community. We raise our animals with intention and care, steward our gardens thoughtfully, and offer well-loved, hand-raised meats, seasonal vegetables, and farm byproducts you can feel good about bringing to your table.
The feral farm children…
Ashley and Jake’s lives revolve around their four feral children and the animals of corse. Days are generally consumed with morning chores, kids to school, hockey practice, afternoon chores and 4H meetings.
Spring and summer welcome more hands on work with their cows that Emma and Logan show for their 4H group at local fairs. Emma was honored to take home Supreme Dairy Heifer her first years showing, setting a high standard for her years to come.
